September 23, 2022: In Loving Memory of Adrian Zarychta
It is with great sadness that we pass along the news of the passing away of Sokoł Choir Member, Adrian Zarychta. He was a very kind soul who enjoyed singing with the Sokol Choir. He will be missed and the Choir will remember him as someone who was always willing to help. Our condolences to all who were close to him. His obituary may be viewed here. Rest in Peace.
April 7, 2021: Nice work, Bernadette!
Bernadette Gabriel is a Parish Liturgical Decorator at Holy Ghost Church. She has been designing religious and cultural displays for over 30 years. Her displays are meant to teach our future generations about their culture, and for them to learn and carry on these wonderful traditions. February 17, 2021: Bernadette Nominated for Manitoba 150 Honour Medal
Congratulations to our very own Sokoł Polish Folk Ensemble President, Bernadette Gabriel, on being the winner of a Manitoba 150 Honour Medal. For over 30 years Bernadette has volunteered and devoted thousands of hours to contributing to the local Polish community in Winnipeg, mostly as an executive member of the Polish Folk Ensemble. December 27, 2020: Jerzy Wolek Passing
Unfortunately Sokoł Choir Member Jerzy Wolek passed away peacefully on December 26, 2020. He was known for his unforgettably unique and vibrant voice. Jerzy was a former member of the Pochodnia Men’s Choir from Częstochowa, Poland. He was also known for his Solos in most of our concerts here in Winnipeg and abroad. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his friends and family. He will always be remembered and greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

Unfortunately all future rehearsals and events will be cancelled until further notice due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic. Please stay home and stay safe. We intend on seeing everyone again when its safe to do so.
